My dear old aunt asked me to fix her computer (Dell, WinXP Pro).
I discover she tried to install four different antivirus apps
and they were conflicting badly. I removed AVG and F-Secure
without incident, but Panda completely failed to add/remove.
When I click the button the window flashes for 1/85th second,
then nothing happens. (The 4th, Symantec, was password-protected
by the guy who installed it, so I decided to stick with that).

Panda's web site had no support info about this situation, so
I tried to delete Panda manually. I used msconfig to stop its
service and clear its startup item, I took Panda's directory
out of the path, but the damn thing still loads during boot.

Suggestions please?

You need to remove the registry entries also.

I had this problem arise recently with some HP software/drivers that I
couldn't uninstall. What I wound up doing was to delete the program files
and ENOUGH registry keys (not all...there must be a thousand!) so that I
could at least re-install the software. Now, all is fine, including the
uninst.isu file which was corrupted and would not allow me to uninstall in
the first place. Good luck.

Contact the local help service,.. list of countries:
http://www.nondisputandum.com/panda_support.htm

I never heard of Panda not uninstallable.. it normally does and
leaves no traces that can't be removed with a system cleaner..
More tools:

http://www.nondisputandum.com/html/antivirus___firewall.html

The big pain to deinstall is Norton,.. not Panda..
Is the fourth scanner perhaps Norton?

Hello Frank, If you still have the Titanium 2004.Exe Setup files,
you can double click it and you'll be given the option to repair. A
repair might restore the Uninstall files. My Panda Uninstall tab is
on the Start Menu, Program Files, Panda software. I had no problem
uninstalling 2003. Good Luck. charlie R
