Has anyone tried the Antispyware software from Microsoft?

Hello,

I was just on the Microsoft website and found that they have an
Anti-spyware software now that's very similar to the Spybot Search and
Destroy that I've been using. I was wondering if anyone has any
experience with this MS one and if it protects your computer from that
nasty adware and spyware?

Any help?

Actually I tried it out and it's pretty cool! It automatically does a
system scan every night and it has really helped me get rid of those
pesky adware and spyware bots. As for why it looks so much like
Spybot, I don't really know, maybe Microsoft bought it off them???

Anyways, give it a try...its a great product.

I just started using this product and it works great! It does a system
scan every night to get rid of that pesky adware and spyware crap...and
it helps in keeping your computer clean. As for why it looks so much
like Spybot, I don't really know, maybe Microsoft bought the code???
(wouldn't surprise me, hehe).

But try it out, its really sweet!

Microsoft bought the software all right, but not from Spybot. This is
the product formerly known as Giant Anti-Spyware, from Giant Software.

And yes, it is pretty good at what it does. Recommended.
